Registration Information

The SOLAR System is used to register for classes and to make schedule changes. Course Schedules, available on the menu at the left, contain a list of all classes available, along with the class numbers (Class Nbr) that can be used in SOLAR to select the classes to add.  You can also search for classes while in SOLAR.

There are some situations that cannot be processed using SOLAR and must be done in-person at Student Records. They are:

Any questions about the process should be directed to Student Records at (262) 595-2284.

Priority Registration

Priority registration periods are held for approximately 2 weeks prior to the end of the fall and spring semesters. For the fall semester this is around mid-April and for the spring semester it is at the beginning of December. No priority registration is scheduled for the summer session. For that session, open registration usually begins around mid-March.

During priority registration, students are assigned an earliest time to register based on the number of credits they have earned and in some cases on their program. Students can find their earliest time for registration on the SOLAR System. After that earliest time, they may access the system during the times available. Students must see their adviser before they can register.

New Freshmen

New freshmen must attend an orientation program. This day-long program includes advising and in-person registration. New Freshmen will need to meet with their adviser for any class schedule changes during their first semester at UW-Parkside.
