Graphic Technologies Designer A.A.S. to Art major
This agreement applies only to students who have earned an A.A.S. degree in graphic technologies design at Gateway Technical College and are transferring to UW-Parkside to obtain a B.A. in the art major. Recognizing the Gateway Technical College A.A.S. degree, the student will not be able to obtain a concentration in graphic design at UW-Parkside. However, it is suggested that the student obtain an art major concentration in illustration or animation or any other art major option available. The student may transfer up to 61 credits (including general education, math and science credits) toward degree completion, provided the Gateway Technical College credits or A.A.S. degree were earned in fall 1995 or later. NOTE: The UW-Parkside Art Department will write an executive action accepting 204-117 Drawing Principles for 2 credits only as the equivalent of Art 122 - Drawing and waive 1 credit in the art major, provided the student supplies a drawing portfolio that is accepted by the Art Department.
