Degree & Enrollment Verification

The Office of the Registrar receives many requests for enrollment status and degree verifications from students as well as outside agencies and employers or potential employers.

Unless a student has requested in writing that all information be withheld, the following information will be released to outside agencies or persons on request:

Outside agencies and other third parties needing to verify a student's degree should use DegreeVerify through National Student Clearinghouse.

Some students require an official verification of their enrollment status on a semester basis. The most common reasons are for educational loan deferments and for insurance purposes.

Enrollment status is assessed according to the following:

Fall & Spring Semesters

Undergraduate
Graduate
Full Time 12 or more credits 9 or more credits
Half Time 6 - 11 credits 4 - 8 credits
Less than Half Time 1 - 5 credits 1 - 3 credits

Summer Session

Undergraduate
Graduate
Full Time 6 or more credits 5 or more credits
Half Time 3 - 5 credits 3 - 4 credits
Less Than Half Time 1 - 2 credits 1 - 2 credits

To request verification from UW-Parkside, the student must complete an Enrollment/Degree Verification Request form.  If there is a company/requestor specific form that needs to be completed, submit it along with the request form.

The request will be processed within 5 working days. The verification can be mailed, faxed or picked up in person (with a picture ID).
