The Fine Print:

Exploration Living-Learning Community

The Exploration Living-Learning Community (LLC) is for students who are undeclared and/or undecided about a major.

Many students come to college uncertain about what they want to major in. Some have a few areas of interest, while others are genuinely exploring all options. Students change majors an average of 3-5 times prior to graduating.

Housed in Ranger Hall, and co-sponsored with the Advising & Career Center, the Exploration LLC is intended to help students become more aware of their options and to identify resources they can use to help them select a major. Students with majors often find themselves in a cohort group when they begin college, and the Exploration LLC gives exploring students the same opportunity to be a part of a cohort.

Students will benefit from staff support, programs, and resources for major and career exploration. Additionally, students will be challenged to explore their personality traits, interests, passions, skills, abilities, academic fields of student, and potential careers.

Students will also benefit from faculty and staff interaction, on and off-site learning opportunities, and programming for students, including, but not limited to, academic advising, individual and group career counseling, career development workshops, educational and social activities, and other growth experiences.

There is no additional cost to live in the Exploration Living-Learning Community.
