Why is the campus issuing new Ranger Cards?
To help maintain a safe and secure data processing environment, the University decided to separate the Higher One banking functions from the Ranger Card.
How much will this cost me?
Nothing, there isn't a cost for your new Ranger Card.
Where do I get my new Ranger Card?
The Campus Concierge, Office of Admissions or the Cashier' office are able to provide you your new card.
Do I need a new photo for my Ranger Card?
It's up to you! You can use your current photo, or, if you prefer, we can take a new photo.
Do I need to activate my new Ranger Card?
No, the Ranger Card is auto-activated upon being printed.
What do I do with my old 'Higher One Ranger Card'?
If you have a Higher One checking account, the 'Higher One' Ranger Card will continue to work for all Higher One Debit Master Card transactions. If you do not have a Higher One checking account, you can dispose of the card appropriately.
I took a photo during orientation and didn't receive my Ranger Card; where is my card?
- If you live on campus: your Ranger Card will be within your move-in package.
- If you're a commuter: you will need to stop by the Campus Concierge, Office of Admissions or the Cashier' office to get your new Ranger Card.
What can my NEW Ranger Card be used for?
- Identification for on and off campus needs
- Library
- Door access
- Dining Plan
- Campus Cash
- University Bookstore.
- Your 'P Number' for taking bubble exams
- Computer lab printing
- Event access
- Event access
How do I get my University (financial aid) refunds?
Current Students: If you have a Higher One checking account, the 'Higher One' Ranger Card will continue to work for all Higher One Debit Master Card transactions. If you do not have a Higher One checking account, you can dispose of your card appropriately.
New Students: In order to select your refund preference, you will be issued a Ranger Choice Card.
Which 'P Number' do I use if I have the Higher One Ranger Card and the new Ranger Card?
You will now find your 'P Number', normally used to take bubble exams, on your new Ranger Card. The Higher One "P Number" will be invalid once your new Ranger Card is printed.
What should I do if my Ranger Card is lost or stolen?
- Inactivate your card through the Online Card Office
- Visit Campus Concierge or Cashier's Office to get a new card or activate an expired card
I can't get into my residence hall, what should I do?
First, make sure you have the most recently issued Ranger Card. If you are unsure, visit the Residence Life office in Ranger Hall to verify you which Ranger Card is active and to check your door access permissions.
