1. Responsible Use
All groups and organizations scheduled to use the Parkside Student Center are responsible for the actions of their members and guests and for the proper use of the facilities, furnishings, and equipment in the scheduled areas.
2. Reservation Timelines
For rooms outside of the Student Center, reservations may be made for fall semester events beginning April 1st, for spring semester events beginning October 1st and for summer events beginning March 1st.
3. Room Assignment
The Parkside Student Center will assign each reservation request to the most appropriate space available. Requests for specific rooms or spaces will be honored when possible. The university reserves the right to reassign space when necessary.
4. Extended Hours
An additional charge will be assessed for events scheduled in the Student Center outside of normal building hours.
5. Catering
All food served on campus must be provided by University Dining unless granted an exception prior to the event. Internal customers must provide a list of program participants prior to the event.
6. Alcohol
All events and activities in the Student Center must abide by campus alcohol policies. Alcohol beverage service is provided through University Dining.
7. Audio-Visual Equipment
Most rooms in the Parkside Student Center are "smart" rooms. For audio-visual equipment outside of the Student Center, contact Audio/ Visual Services in CART D153, (262) 595-2567.
8. Security
For internal events involving the use of alcohol or for large events, arrangements must be made for additional security at least 21 work days prior to the event. |
9. Deposit
A deposit is required for all organizations not affliliated with the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
10. Advance Planning
Reservations for any events requiring special room set up, catering or staffing must be made (7) working days prior to the event. Final guarantee numbers must be confirmed 72 hours prior to the event.
11. Late Cancellations
The Parkside Student Center reserves the right to assess charges if cancellations are not received within 72 hours of the event.
12. Decorations
Decorations, displays, or exhibits, which require flame or water, cannot be used in the Parkside Student Center. The use of tape, glue, thumbtacks or adhesive on the walls, ceilings, doorframes, columns or staging for attaching any material is typically not permitted.
13. Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in the Parkside Student Center or within 25 feet of the building.
14. Fire Safety
In the interest of personal safety, users must abide by fire safety regulations, including established maximum room occupancies and proper egress.
15. Cleaning/Damage Fees
Additional charges will be assessed when an excessive amount of cleaning is required or when there is damage to property.
16. Right to Cancel
The Parkside Student Center reserves the right to cancel or alter a reservation if it conflicts in any way with the general policies of the University or the Parkside Student Center.
