40th Annual Arts & Crafts Fair

On Saturday, November 23, 2013, the Student Activities Office will host the UW-Parkside 40th Annual Arts and Crafts Fair. The venue is the UW-Parkside Main Complex and it will be open to the general public from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Exhibitor set-up time will be Saturday morning from 5:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Each exhibitor will receive:

  • 10 feet wide by 10 feet deep area
  • One (1) 6-foot table
  • Two (2) chairs

Any other material will be the responsibility of the exhibitor. Storage space is not available. We will attempt to honor special placement requests but please remember that corner, wall, window space and electrical outlets are limited. We reserve the right to make changes as deemed necessary. Further details on set-up and location will be sent out to those exhibitors who are accepted after the jury panel convenes on July 19, 2013.

Each year over 350 applicants vie for 185 spaces. To be as fair as possible all crafted items are juried to ensure that items conform to the guidelines set forth and to provide a balance of media exhibited at the fair. Applications are evaluated based on the following:

  • Artistic quality
  • Craftsmanship
  • Creativity
  • Originality

Any handmade articles such as jewelry, pottery, needlework, painting, prints, seasonal decorations, batik, wood works, etc. are acceptable. Items priced less than $100 are excellent sellers.

The Process is Simple

1. Complete the application form
2. Enclose the $5 application processing fee (make check payable to UW-Parkside)
3. Include six (6) current photographs; if photos are more than two years old please send updated pictures:

  • 3 of the handmade items
  • 2 of the items in progress
  • 1 of you making the item

A Word About Fees

The application fee is $5.00
The exhibitor fees are as follows,
$125 per 10x10 ft. in-line exhibit space
$150 per 10x10 ft. corner space
Exhibitor booth space fees will not be accepted until after jury acceptance confirmations have been sent.
All fees are non-refundable.

Artisan Raffle

Distinguished Artisans Raffle and Silent Auction
A Distinguished Artisans Raffle and Silent Auction is held from 10 am to 3 pm in both Greenquist Hall and the Parkside Student Center. Items are donated by exhibitors and all proceeds support the Dr. Stephen McLaughlin Student Leadership Scholarship at UW-Parkside.

Exhibitor Donations
You are invited to contribute your 'work' to the raffle and silent auction. The piece you donate will be labeled with your name and booth number so patrons will be able to identify you in the fair. You will also receive a sign identifying you as a contributor. Please let us know in advance if you wish to be part of this raffle by calling Student Activities at (262) 595-2278 or email: dacf@uwp.edu. 37th Annual Arts & Crafts Fair

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside is proud to present the 40th Annual Arts and Crafts Fair on November 23rd, 2013. This fair features live music, a raffle and silent auction with proceeds benefiting the the Dr. Stephen McLaughlin Student Leader Scholarship, concessions, coat and package check, and great shopping!
