CALL FOR NOMINATION!! STUDENT LEADERSHIP AWARDS - CRITERIA & NOMINATION INFORMATION
Welcome to the annual Leadership & Recognition Award Nomination, where it is time for us to recognize you - our student leaders. We encourage you and your members to submit nominations for a variety of leadership awards, and we encourage you to consider nominating colleagues in other organizations! Nomination forms are due to the Student Activities Office, Student Center L104, no later than 4:00pm on Monday, April 15th, 2013. Nominations can also be submitted via e-mail to raidbard@uwp.edu, but they must be sent from the nominator's UW-P provided e-mail account.

Individual Awards
Emerging Student Leader Award
This award is designed to recognize emerging student leaders. Nominees must have been involved for a minimum of two semesters, and maximum of four semesters, and are contributing to campus as leaders. This award recognizes current initiative and contributions, as well as future potential.

Distinguished Student Leader Award
This award is designed to recognize students with distinguished service or achievement which demonstrably benefits the student organization or UW-Parkside as a whole. Such distinguished service should be a pattern of exemplary service over the student's years at UW-Parkside and exceed the normal duties of any positions he/she may hold i.e., "above and beyond the call of duty." Nominees should have at least two years or more of service to organization(s).

Outstanding Cumulative Grade Point Average for an Organization Member Award
This award is based upon the highest cumulative Grade Point Average (at least 3.5 or better) achieved by an organization member in one of the following categories: SUFAC Funded Organizations, Greek Letter Organizations, Student Organizations Council member organizations, Honoraries, and Residence Hall Association.

Senior Student Involvement Award
This award is designed to recognize graduating seniors (in May, August, or December 2012) who have made a commitment to student organization(s) and/or campus life through various leadership positions (i.e., executive of an organization, Resident Advisor, etc.) Nominees must have been involved for at least three years.

Advisor of the Year Award
Faculty and staff advisors of recognized student organizations may be nominated. Criteria may be based on a single achievement and/or extraordinary service in advising a student organization, i.e., "above and beyond the call of duty, outside of regular job responsibilities." Such distinguished service could be significant activity or a pattern of exemplary service over the year(s) at UW-Parkside.

Parkside Student Government Presidential Award
This award is to recognize extraordinary leadership and commitment to the student body of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Finalists will be chosen by the selection committee and the recipient will be chosen by a committee of former Parkside Student Government Presidents.

Organization Awards
Greek Organization, SUFAC Funded Organization, and Student Organizations Council Member Organization of the Year Award
These awards will be given to recognized student organizations in each of the categories that have improved their visibility on campus, are active participants in program sponsorship, and contribute in an exemplary manner to UW-Parkside. The SUFAC Funded Organization of the Year award has replaced the Major Status Organization of the Year award that existed in previous years.

Community Service and Outreach Award
This award has been designed to recognize the student organization which best demonstrated a high commitment to community service and outreach in 2012-2013. This award is based on the level and type of community involvement the organization provided through the number of people involved, the estimated number of hours volunteered, resources donated, etc. When applying for this award, recognized student organizations should consider what they gave their community as well as what they have learned and received.

New Program of the Year Award
This award is presented to an organization that sponsored a new, educational, recreational or social program that enhanced campus life. It has to be the first time that this program had been done. To nominate, please describe the program, how the program idea came about, and what your organization learned from the program.

This award recognizes a student organization's 2012-13 program that had a positive impact on campus. Nominations should clearly demonstrate the program's original goals, the marketing plan and how the goals were met, the impact the program had for its' guests, and what the organization learned from it.

New Student Organization Award
This award is presented to a new student organization recognized for the first time in 2012-2013. The organization's nomination should show the organization's consistent growth throughout the year, it's visibility on campus, participation in campus life and/or co-sponsorship of programs, and future potential.

33rd Annual Leadership & Recognition Banquet
The 33rd Annual Leadership & Recognition Banquet is Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 5:00pm in the University Ballroom of the Student Center. Nominators and nominees are encouraged to attend the banquet to celebrate everyone's successes! If your organization would like time to present your own awards to your members, please sign up in Student Activities by Monday, April 22th in order to be included on the evening's program.
Banquet tickets may be purchased in the Student Activities office through Monday, April 22nd, 2013.
