Are You Eligible For Student Support Services?
New incoming first year students are eligible to apply if they meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Neither parent has a four-year degree
- Student meets low-income guidelines
- Student has a documented disability
All students must be degree seeking and be a U.S. citizen or national of the United States or meet residence requirement for federal student financial assistance.
All students must also have an academic need for support as evidenced by one or more of the following indicators:
- High School GPA below 3.00
- ACT composite below 19
- Placement in UW-P academic skill classes
- English not first language
At least two-thirds of the students in SSS must be both low income and have first generation status.
