Korean Education Fellows Program Overview

The purpose of the KEF program is to provide an alternative pathway to teaching certification for post baccalaureate math and science or other appropriate majors from Korea possessing a strong desire to become teachers in Wisconsin and other parts of the United States. This 4 semester program will feature immediate field experience and clinical student teaching in grades 6-12 in math or science. Content methods, pedagogical theories and enhanced support in speaking and writing English will be embedded in the coursework.

The program's mission is to assist candidates as they become new teachers and to help them prepare their credentials for licensure. Applicants must have a baccalaureate degree, but it needn't be in education.
