Student WEA
The Student Wisconsin Education Association (SWEA) is an organization of college students pursuing careers as educators that provides opportunities to meet other education majors and current teachers as well as explore cutting-edge issues in education. It's a professional association that follows you after you graduate.
SWEA members have access to:

- Leadership training and opportunities to get involved at the local, state and national levels and work on issues directly affecting students and beginning teachers
- Discounts on conferences and workshops that deal with issues you may not hear about in your college courses
- Subscriptions to NEA Today and OnWEAC In Print to keep up on what's hot in education
- Mini-resume service and job district information for graduating seniors
- A million dollar liability insurance while you're observing or working in the classroom and much more
