The 12th Annual UW-System Symposium for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity will be at UW-Parkside Friday April 27, 2012.

Symposium Date:  Friday April 27, 2012
Location:  University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Student Center
Registration and Abstract Submission Start:  Friday February 3, 2012 (today)
Registration and Abstract Submission Deadline:  Friday March 2, 2012

The UW-Symposium will bring hundreds of undergraduate students and faculty from across the state to UW-Parkside, and the undergraduate students will present their scholarly work of all disciplines and majors.  We are hoping to have a very strong showing of UW-Parkside students who participate by presenting their scholarly work and/or attending the many talks and posters during this all-day event.

As instructors, faculty sponsors, and coordinators who sponsor undergraduate students doing independent research and creative activity, I would ask that you encourage those students who you know are doing scholarly work in your discipline area to present at the conference and register.  This is work that undergraduate students are doing currently or over the past fall semester and last summer.  Also, students who did work last fall and graduated in December could come back and present at the April Symposium.

Again, we encourage students from all disciplines and majors to participate by presenting their scholarly efforts with the support of the faculty sponsor.
