University of Wisconsin-Parkside Theatre Arts students are featured during the semester-closing capstone performance Monday, Dec. 22, on campus. A half dozen students will present their farewell performances on stage while the design and production work of seven more students will be shown.

Patrons can enjoy farewell presentations by:

-- Phil Zimmerman who played Argan, the title character in "The Imaginary Invalid," Rolly Moore, a small time hood under an impromptu house arrest in "Escape from Happiness," the loving but somewhat cynical Mr. Bennet in "Pride and Prejudice," Capulet in "Romeo and Juliet," and most recently Leontes in "The Winter's Tale;"

-- Aaron Verbrigghe who portrayed the Nazi sympathizer Ernst Ludwig in "Cabaret," the Irish tenor Patrick O'Reilly in "The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940," and the malevolent Owen Musser in "The Foreigner;"

-- Robyn Schneider who was featured in the multi-character role of Helsa the Maid in "The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940," as Angelique,the pampered daughter in Moliere's comedy "The Imaginary Invalid," and most recently as the heiress Catherine Simms in "The Foreigner;"

-- Cathlyn Melvin who played Macduff's son in "Macbeth," the easily injured Louise in "The Imaginary Invalid," and Rosalind in the Parkside Theatre original production of "Shakespeare On Love;"

-- Derek Ewing whose roles included Mr. Darcy in "Pride and Prejudice," Detective Mike Dixon in "Escape from Happiness," Banquo in "Macbeth," the failed film director Ken De La Maize in "The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940," and most recently as Polixenes in "The Winter's Tale;" and

-- Mark Richard Baumgartner who had major roles in "Cripple of Inishmaan," "Glass Menagerie," The Shadow Box," and most recently portrayed Camillo in "The Winter's Tale."

Off stage, the design and production work of Jennifer Anderson, Sara Bliese, Christina Czerwinski, Aaron Greenberg, Michael Kaukl, Rosanna King, and Scott Schroeder, work that made it possible for the actors to capture audiences' imaginations in front of the curtain, will be featured.

The UW-Parkside Theatre Arts capstone performance begins at 7 p.m. in the Wegner Theatre, located at 900 Wood Rd. in Kenosha. Seating is limited and admission is free.
