Theatre Arts students busy this summer

From Shakespeare in Utah, California, and Minnesota to the Bristol Renaissance Faire; from the Actors Theatre of Louisville and the Lexington Children's Theatre Company to the Kenosha Youth Performing Arts Co. and the Milwaukee Zoo--on stage and behind the scenes--UW-Parkside Theatre Arts students are putting what they learned on campus to use in their careers this summer.

One of the most exciting opportunities is graduate Bobby Johnson's acting apprenticeship at the Actor's Theatre of Louisville. Theatre Arts Professor Jamie Cheatham compares this highly esteemed apprenticeship program to the Milwaukee Rep's intern program.

"This is especially great, since Bobby will be following in the footsteps of Jon Finnegan, who just completed his yearlong internship and is headed to New York City," Cheatham stated. "Having two actors in two years be accepted to this program is a great achievement for our program."
