Racine arts Preview Party previews “12th Night”
The Theater Arts Department and the College of Arts and Humanities will be actively involved in this weekend's "gET bEHIND tHE aRTS" events in downtown Racine and Kenosha. Theatre Arts is presenting scenes from the upcoming production of "12th Night" and the College will have a display featuring Answer Man Dean Yohnk at the Friday, April 5 "Preview Party" in downtown Racine.
"The College is providing sponsorship funding for the event and is also setting up the CAH display to market our programs in the arts and humanities," Yohnk said. "I will staff the display and answer any questions guests have about our thriving arts programs at UW-Parkside."
Students Brenna Kempf, Rachel Sandlin, and Mike Zimmermann will perform selected scenes from Shakespeare's comedy of mistaken identity starting at 6:40 p.m. during the Preview Party being held at 427 Main St., Racine."gET bEHIND the aRTS" is a great night full of art--from poetry to puppetry--with musical stops all along the way. Preview the work of the more than 65 visual artists during in the Studio Tour, win artful raffle prizes, and create your own masterpieces.
