Scholarships
Many great talent and academic scholarship opportunities exist at UW-Parkside for Theatre Arts Majors. All Theatre Arts Majors wishing consideration for the following scholarships must fill out the standard scholarship forms available on the UW-P Scholarships website. All Theatre Arts majors are expected to complete scholarship application forms annually.

S.T.A.G.E. Club Theatre Arts Talent Scholarships
The Theatre Arts Department’s S.T.A.G.E. Club (Society of Theatre Angels, Gallivants, and Enthusiasts) awards a number of theatre talent scholarships each year to the best and brightest students in the department. Theatre talent scholarships are awarded to the finest incoming new students who show the best potential and to continuing theatre majors who excel academically and artistically in the program. Annual scholarships range from $250 to $1,000.
Drama Club Scholarships
Each year the student run Drama Club offers scholarships for club members who provide exemplary service and dedication to the club and its many activities and projects. This scholarship (which is selected by Drama Club officers) includes a written essay.
Julius and Alice Goldstein Scholarship
This $1,000.00 annual scholarship is awarded to an outstanding continuing Theatre Arts Major who has demonstrated outstanding scholarship, talent, and dedication to the department.
Thomas J. Newman Memorial Scholarship
This annual scholarship provides students with funds to participate in the department’s annual trip to New York City . Students who apply for this scholarship are required to write an essay explaining how a trip to New York City will help their academic and artistic development and goals. A related scholarship is also available for the student’s wishing to participate in the frequent trips to London .
August Wegner III Memorial Music Scholarship
This $750 musical theatre scholarship is awarded to a continuing student who has completed 60 credits and has maintained a 3.2 minimum GPA. Qualifying students must be excelling in theory/composition, jazz, and/or musical theater performance. This award is given by audition only and may go to either a music or theatre major.
