What’s changing with university refunds?
Starting January 2004, your UW-Parkside financial aid and other refunds checks will be changing. If you want faster access to your funds simply choose to have your refunds deposited directly into your Ranger OneAccount. Activate your new Ranger OneCard at www.uwpRangerOne.com and simply choose the Easy Refund selection.

The Ranger OneAccount? What’s that?
The Ranger OneAccount is a full functioning FDIC insured debit account that allows you to access your university refunds quicker and easier than ever before. The Ranger OneAccount is an online debit account that has no minimum balance, no monthly fees, and free Internet banking features. Simply use your Ranger OneCard to make purchases anywhere MasterCard is accepted. You can also get cash with no fee at two ATMs located on campus.

Will I be getting a new Ranger OneCard?
All UW-Parkside students will receive a new UW-Parkside official ID, the Ranger OneCard. It will arrive in the mail at your permanent addresses, in January. You will need to activate your Ranger OneCard at www.uwpRangerOne.com as soon as you receive it.

Why the MasterCard logo on the new Ranger OneCard?
First and foremost, the Ranger OneCard is your official university ID. It is also the card you use to access your funds if you choose to accept the Ranger OneAccount. Because it has the MasterCard logo on it, you can use the card as a debit card wherever MasterCard is accepted. The card is NOT a credit card. It is a DEBIT card.

What are my options for receiving university refunds?
Your selections include:
1. Having your refund directly deposited to your OneAccount (1 day or less).
2. Having your refund deposited to another bank of your choice (3 days or more).
3. Having a paper check mailed to you at your primary address (5 days or more).

What are the advantages of having my refunds deposited directly to my OneAccount?
1. Having your refund deposited to your OneAccount is the quickest way to gain access to your refund. In order to have your refund directly deposited, activate your OneAccount as soon as you can or by January 15, 2004. When you select this option, as soon as your financial aid is disbursed and your UW-Parkside charges have been paid, any financial aid refunds will be directly deposited to your OneAccount. For Spring Semester 2004, financial aid refunds will be directly deposited beginning January 15, 2004 and continue throughout the semester.
2. With the OneAccount and the Ranger OneCard, any refund from UW-Parkside is the quickest way to gain access to your refund. You can use the Ranger OneCard as a debit card (NOT A CREDIT CARD) for purchases at over 32 million MasterCard locations, access cash at ATMs, pay bills, send money electronically and so much more.
3. There is no charge to you for receiving your refund directly in your OneAccount. There is no monthly fee or minimum balance for the OneAccount.

How will I know when my refunds have been directly deposited to my OneAccount?
You will receive an email when your financial aid refund or any refund has been directly deposited to your OneAccount. Additionally, you will be able to see details of your OneAccount by accessing your OneAccount Statement on the website.

Can I select a paper check instead?
A less convenient and slower way to receive your financial aid refund is to have a paper check sent to you via regular mail, which can take 5 days or more. You still need to activate your card at www.uwpRangerOne.com in order to have a check sent to you.

Can I have my refund directly deposited to another bank account?
If you prefer, you may have your financial aid refund or other refunds deposited to the bank of your choice. In order to have your refund deposited to your bank you must first activate your card at www.uwpRangerOne.com as soon as you receive it. For this option, you will need to print, complete and mail the 3rd party form to the address on the form. The form is available on the website. If you prefer to receive your refunds sooner, you still have the choice to activate your OneAccount.
