University Refunds

Whoa, this is big. When you activate your Ranger Card, you choose how to receive your university refunds and financial aid change checks. To receive your refund via the method you choose, activate your card and make your refund choice. During activation you will be able to choose from three options below. If you delay activating your card, you delay receipt of your refunds.

Universities are responsible for administering financial aid. Students apply for financial aid through universities. Upon university approval and student acceptance of aid, the university applies it against tuition and fees. Any monies left over must be refunded to the student.

Example 1-a student applies for financial aid through the university. If a student obtains $10,000 in financial aid, the university will applies $8,000 towards tuition, room and board. The universities must refund the remaining $2,000 to the student.

Example 2-a student pays for 15 credits and then drops 6 credits. If the student complies with the deadlines, the university will refund 6 credits worth of tuition fees.
