What is your favorite quote? “Forget regret, or life is yours to miss.” - RENT

Can you recommend a good book and why? Barack Obama, “Dreams from My Father:  A Story of Race and Inheritance”… get to know your candidates!

Who is your role model and why? My mom, because throughout my life she has showed me the importance of believing in myself, which has gotten me to where I am today.  Also, my high school basketball coach, who taught me that it takes just a little extra effort to achieve great things.

What leadership skills or accomplishment(s) are you most proud of? PAB winning Organization of the Year in 2007, because it showed that the campus community acknowledges and respects the hard work and dedication of all of our members.

What is the best part about being a member/leader of Parkside Activities Board? The amazing people I have met and gotten to work with.  The members of PAB are like a second family to me, and I know that the relationships we have now will last long into the future.  I have also been able to personally grow in my ability to lead others, which is a skill that will help me in all aspects of life.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your leadership position? Creating experiences for students that result in them viewing Parkside as a fun and exciting place to be.  PAB has risen to the level of students looking forward to our events week after week, and that type of success is a very rewarding feeling.

What do you want your legacy at UW-Parkside to be? I would like people to remember me as someone who took advantage of every opportunity that was presented by this campus.  Through both leadership and academics, I have tried to make my experience at Parkside the best and most memorable it can be.

If you were recruiting students to attend UW-Parkside, what would you tell them? Parkside is a campus that is dedicated to creating experiences for its students.  Everywhere you look you will find students, staff, and administrators that want to support you and make your time at Parkside positive and rewarding.

Why do you think it is important to get involved? Getting involved is the best way to meet new people and develop relationships with other students.  It allows you to feel a connection to the university, and also enables you to grow in ways that will benefit you in the future.

How can other students get involved with your organization(s)?
We meet every Monday at noon in Wyllie 267 and everyone is invited to attend.  Also, check out the facebook group Parkside Activities Board for our schedule of events and other important information.
