Welcome to the 2013 October UW Board of Regents Meeting at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside
I am proud to lead a great university at what many believe is a seminal moment for higher education and for the communities in which we live, learn, work and grow.
Forty-five years ago, the university’s founding chancellor, Irvin Wyllie, set a strong and relevant course: “The University of Wisconsin-Parkside has been and will continue to be the place where ideas are born, challenged and changed - and a learning community that enriches minds, changes lives, and brightens futures.”
UW-Parkside benefits from a profound understanding of our founders’ vision to create a deep connection with our communities and serve as a catalyst for growth and development. Our dynamic, yet grounded, educational vision continues to meet and exceed the ever-changing needs of our society.
Welcome to our unique learning community. The UW-Parkside experience is distinctive in many ways. Strategically located between Racine and Kenosha we are ideally positioned at the center of the Milwaukee-Chicago business corridor. Our beautiful green space and stunning modern architecture provide a highly integrated environment for lifelong learning. Combined with richly diverse students and an excellent faculty and staff, UW-Parkside is a campus experience like no other.
We are truly positioned to continue enriching minds and changing lives well into this new century.
