Audio Visual Service Coordinator

The Campus Technology Services/Learning Technology Center currently has a full-time Audiovisual Services Coordinator vacancy.

This is a classified, full-time, non-represented position. Job Announcement Code 14-04913

Job Duties:The Audiovisual Services Coordinator supports the curriculum, research, and other information needs of the University community by providing access to instructional media and distance education facilities; developing, maintaining and circulating audio-visual equipment, installing instructional technology in classrooms and lecture halls and producing audio, video, graphic and photographic materials. This position functions as a lead worker, supervising approximately 10 student staff supporting technology in the classroom and distance education facilities. The incumbent is responsible for planning and implementing the unit policies and procedures, teaching students, faculty and staff regarding the use of audiovisual equipment for the handicapped; and also assists in the planning of classroom technology development. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to be self-directed and organized; communication skills; ability to recruit, interview, hire, fire, train and manage a group of student employees; knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel and email; experience using compressed video, digital still cameras, digital video cameras, and audiotronics equipment; ability to provide support and trouble-shoot equipment; writing skills to document departmental processes and procedures.

Salary:Pay will be based on the rules that apply to compensation upon transfer, reinstatement or voluntary demotion transactions. Pay will not be less than the minimum of the 06-12 pay range, $15.342/hour. A six month permissive probation period may be required.
