The University of Wisconsin Parkside currently has four vacancies for Custodians – two (2) openings are on 1st shift and two (2) openings are on 3rd shift.

These are classified, full-time, non-represented positions. Job Announcement Code 13-01799.

Job Duties: The primary responsibilities for the Custodian position is: maintenance of campus buildings and furnishings; maintenance of custodial equipment and supply closets; perform detailed cleaning as needed; and recognize problems and take appropriate corrective action to perform required routine maintenance. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The Custodian position requires many physical activities and excessive mobility. Required qualifications are eighteen years of age or successful completion of a recognized high school level general education development test. Previous custodial experience preferred. Ability to read written directions without assistance.

Salary: Pay will be based on the rules that apply to compensation upon transfer, reinstatement or voluntary demotion transactions. Pay will not be less than the minimum of the 03-08 pay range, $11.511/hour. A six month permissive probation period may be required.
