The Athletics Dept. at UW-Parkside currently has a full-time Financial Specialist 2 vacancy.

Job Duties:   This position will provide primary administration of the athletic funds and accounts with regarding to general ledger maintenance and financial reporting. Provide guidance and coordinate department purchasing activities. Assist in the preparation of mandated athletic financial reports, and provide back-up support to other department functions with regard to financial transactions and athletic team travel.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:   Candidates must possess: an understanding of financial system functions including accounting, bookkeeping and billing functions, reconciliation and balancing; understand generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) typically obtained through prior work experience; be proficient with MS Office Suite software and experience in manipulating data and generating reports; and be adaptable to a fast-paced, high volume, dynamic work environment. Additionally preferred experience includes: working knowledge and previous exposure to an environment that includes a multitude of activities related to athletic program administration; understand the various funds and departments associated with athletic accounts; and knowledge of University, State and Federal accounting and purchasing rules and regulations.
