Jeff Alexander, History Department

Interim Associate Dean in the College of Social Sciences and Professional Studies and History Department Associate Professor Jeff Alexander spoke at the 2014 Anime Milwaukee event Feb. 15, at the Wisconsin Center. During the event he discussed his recent book "Brewed in Japan: The Evolution of the Japanese Beer Industry" (2013). His book is scheduled to be released in softcover in July 2014.

Jeff has also been named the 2014 Mitsui Distinguished Lecturer by John Carroll University, in University Heights, Ohio. He has been invited to give two seminar presentations there in April 2014. The events are sponsored by the Mitsui Corporation, one of Japan's largest companies and one of the world's largest publicly traded firms. Mitsui began in the 17th century as a kimono shop, and grew into a vast firm with global interests in shipping. Jeff presented his last book "Japan's Motorcycle Wars"(2008), and gave an evening lecture on his most recent book "Brewed in Japan: The Evolution of the Japanese Beer Industry" (2013).
