As the Fall semester draws to a close, it's time to begin planning for the Winterim and Spring terms. Here are a few important dates to keep in mind:

Monday, January 5th  Winterim classes begin
Friday, January 9th     Winterim tuition/fees due
Monday, February 2nd Spring classes begin
Friday, February 13th     Spring tuition/fees due

Access to Textbooks & Supplies:

To ensure that all students have the necessary course materials in time for the start of classes, you (regardless of whether you receive financial aid) will have the ability to charge up to $750.00 to your student account for textbooks and supplies (pencils, pens, paper, notebooks, calculators, art supplies for art classes, etc.) purchased at the University Bookstore. You may begin making purchases for the Winterim and Spring terms beginning Monday, December 1st. This Bookstore charge option will be available to you until February 12, 2015.

The Bookstore's lowest price guarantee stipulates that if a textbook can be purchased (new or used) or rented (new or used) at a lower price from a reputable online retailer (Chegg, Barnes & Nobel, Amazon fulfilled), the Bookstore will beat that price by 10%.The rental period (if applicable) must be the same as our semester term. You must show the comparison price in person.

You can purchase/rent your textbooks in this manner either at the store or online. The Bookstore charges will be deducted from available financial aid before any refund is processed. For those who do not receive financial aid or do not have enough aid to cover all expenses, you will need to pay for your bookstore charges at the Cashier's Office by February 13th to avoid any late fees.

Financial Aid Disbursement:

Financial aid disbursement will occur at the beginning of the Spring term. The process for distributing financial aid will follow the same format as in the fall.Financial aid will be applied to students' accounts (disbursement) the 2nd day of class (February 3, 2015).This will allow you to see what financial aid is available to you for the semester.During the add/drop period, you will be able to make changes to your schedule as necessary and you will be able to see how those changes affect the tuition/fees due.The deadline for payment of tuition/fees is the 10th day of class (February 13, 2015).Financial aid refunds (if applicable) will be available to students (via your Ranger Choice Card) by the close of business on the 11th day of class (February 16, 2015).

Special Note:If you are planning to attend in Winterim and would like to be considered for financial aid, you must complete a separate application. Here is the link to the Winterim Aid form: http://www.uwp.edu/currentstudent/upload/WINTER-2015-COVER-SHEET-APP-UPDATE.pdf
