New Deans Named
The University of Wisconsin-Parkside announces the appointment of two deans:
Dr. Lesley Walker, dean of the College of Arts and Humanities
Dr. Dirk Baldwin, dean of the College of Business, Economics, and Computing
College of Arts and Humanities
Dr. Walker previously served as associate dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Indiana University South Bend. She begins her new duties July 1, 2015. "With Dr. Walker's vast experience in the liberal arts and sciences, she brings a fresh and very global perspective to UW-Parkside," Ebeid said.
Dr. Walker earned her undergraduate degree with a major in French, and a master's degree in French Literature from Indiana University. She earned a Ph.D. in comparative literature from the University of Minnesota.
College of Business, Economics, and Computing
Dr. Baldwin previously served as interim dean. "For almost 20 years, Dr. Baldwin has been an enthusiastic and innovative member of the UW-Parkside faculty," Ebeid said. "Throughout his career, he has gladly accepted new responsibilities. He continues to expand and enrich the educational offerings and community connections associated with the college and the university."
Dr. Baldwin earned his undergraduate degree with a major in business administration at the University of Texas at Austin, and a master's of science in business administration and a doctor of philosophy in business administration at Texas Tech University.
