Overview
Congratulations on your admission to the University of Wisconsin - Parkside! We look forward to you joining our campus community. College is an exciting and challenging time. Our orientation program will help you to lay the foundation for both your personal and academic success.
New student orientation takes place in two phases on two separate days.
Ranger Days (Orientation and Registration) is a one-day
program that gives each student the opportunity to interact in meaningful
ways with faculty and other students as you create your first semester schedule
of classes and prepare for your first day as a Ranger. Because we want you
to be successful, all new incoming students are REQUIRED
to participate in Ranger Days. There is a SEPARATE program for parents/guests
of new students.
At Ranger Days you will:
- Meet current UW-P students, faculty and staff
- Receive academic advising and register for fall term classes
- Get your Ranger One Card (student ID) photo taken
- Get information about Financial Aid, Housing, etc…
- Learn more about university expectations, requirements and services (get your specific questions answered!)
Ranger Welcome will take place on Monday, August 31-Tuesday, September 1. Mark your calendar for an action packed day filled with information and activities that will get you off to a great start! (Estimate time of program: 8am-4pm)
Note: These programs are REQUIRED for all new students and transfer students with 11 or less credits.
