See the left column links for the 2008-09 brochure and ways to order your season passes.
The Newly Renovated UW-Parkside Union Theater
We are excited to begin our 27th consecutive season in our newly renovated UW-Parkside Union Theater! The renovation includes: $100,000 in state-of-the-art digital projection and sound equipment; acoustic wall treatments; Dolby surround sound; ALS – Assisted Listening System; a new concession area; and new seats configured in three sections.
Additional Features of the 2008-09 Program
There two additional features in our film programming this year.
First, we are having an Open House September 25-28. For the nominal fee of $2 we are opening our theater to the general public to see the film Offside (Iran, 2006), a film that will appeal to all age groups. Click here for more details.
Second, we are excited about our collaboration with the UW-Parkside Arts Alive! program. On September 20, 2008, the UW-Parkside Foreign Film Series and Arts Alive! are cosponsoring an event entitled Silent Surrealism . This unique program combines classic black and white, silent cinematography with the live performance of the accomplished musicians in The Hot Club of San Francisco , a string ensemble celebrating the music style of Django Reinhardt. We encourage all those interested in this program to purchase their tickets as soon as possible, we expect a sell-out. Click here for more details.
Both of the above additional features are separate from the 2008-09 UW-Parkside Foreign Film Series season pass.
See you at the movies!
