Campus Maps are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and require the Acrobat Reader, available free from Adobe Systems
The Anna Maria Williams Nature Trail is a self-guided walking tour through the campus. There are more than 100 marked trees on the trail including 67 species native to Wisconsin, and 27 of the 50 state trees in the United States. The Anna Maria Williams Nature Trail covers 1.6 miles of sidewalk. Many of the trees are wheelchair accessible. A detailed trail map with tree descriptions is available in the UW-Parkside Information Center on the D1 level of the Parkside Union.
Dr. Anna Maria Williams is best known for her years in the classrooms at UW-Parkside. The large number of alumni who are doctors and other health professionals is a testament to her devotion to teaching. The nature trail, named in her honor, was developed and is maintained through the strength of Dr. Williams’ efforts.
Note: Due to the Communication Arts Construction project, the section of the trail around the Communication Arts and Greenquist buildings is closed.
