"The department helped me to be successful in a few ways. First, they had connections with local companies which helped me to get an internship. The internship ultimately led to my full time career. Through the program I learned critical thinking and analytical skills. I was exposed to a wide variety of technologies which helps me in my day to day duties. I participated in the ACM Programming Contest which was a lot of fun and provided some unique experiences. Lastly, the department encouraged socialization among students and faculty which enhanced my communication and leadership skills for employment."
