Matthew Makarios

Matthew Makarios, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice, was the invited speaker at the Kenosha Mayor's Youth Commission Awards Tuesday, Jan. 10 at the Kenosha Public Museum. The Mayor's Youth Commission bestows awards for excellence in academics, athletics, and activities like band, orchestra, student government, or those who make extraordinary efforts to help fellow students and the community. He spoke on the importance of being able to create our own opportunities and how higher education helps to do so.
