Chris Zanowski

Chris Zanowski, Director of Student Support Services TRIO, will attend and present at the 23rd annual Teaching Academic Survival Skills (TASS) Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, March 18-21. The TASS conference is an opportunity to explore various techniques and teaching philosophies used by educational specialist throughout the country especially as it relates to low-income, first-generation college students. He will be accompanied by Alfredo Sandoval Flores, an advisor in Student Support Services TRIO and Amy Castelic, an advisor in Student Support Services TRIO. Chris, Alfredo, and Amy will present "Engaging first-generation, low-income students  in a first year learning community." In addition, Chris will address the conference on the topic "Culturally-based education and the four-year tribal college experience of American Indian student graduates."
