Jeffrey Alexander

Jeffrey Alexander, Associate Professor of History and Interim Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, gave an invited conference paper at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business for its fourth annual Stanford Project on Japanese Entrepreneurship April 26. His paper, entitled "Challenging Japan's Beer Cartel: Craft Beer Entrepreneurs versus the Ministry of Finance," was based on original research, interviews, and field work in Japan. This annual conference brings together scholars, policymakers, CEOs, and venture capitalists from Japan, the U.S., and Europe, and is part of the Stanford Project on Regions of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in conjunction with The Walter H. Shorenstein Asia Pacific Research Center.
