Matt Makarios

Matt Makarios, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice, has published a peer reviewed journal article in the Journal of Crime and Justice. The article examines the perceptions parole officers had on a policy change that restricted their autonomy when responding to rule violations by people on parole. The results suggest upper management plays a key role in fostering attitudes that are favorable to policy change. The article has been published online and goes to print in November.
