Friday Forum: “New Directions in a New Europe?”
The returns are in and the German people have spoken re-electing Angela Merkel as chancellor. Merkel made it clear this week she doesn't plan to reverse the four years of middle-of-the-road policies adopted by her coalition with the rival Social Democrats or to renege on her centrist electoral manifesto. The UW-Parkside Center for International Studies invites you to a Global Lunch Hour to examine the question "The German Election 2009: New Directions in a New Europe?"
