Barrage presents “Animado” at UW-Parkside Nov. 4

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside's popular Arts Alive! series welcomes back the high-octane music, song, and dance of Barrage. With its all new show titled "Animado," Barrage storms the Communication Arts Theatre stage Wednesday, Nov. 4, starting at 7:30 p.m.

If you caught last year's sold-out Arts Alive! performance, you already know the kind of energy and musical excitement Barrage brings to the stage. "Animado," their new show, is a fusion of musical styles featuring layered vocal arrangements, pulse-pounding beats, and the band's amazing performance vitality.

"Almost immediately after the last note of last year's show faded, people were telling me we had to get Barrage back this year," said UW-Parkside's Stephanie Sirovatka-Marshall. "The great thing is we get to have Barrage back and see an entirely fresh performance. That's a huge bonus."

With a hip young cast of multi-talented performers, anchored by six roaring, wailing violins; Barrage has been called "Too WOW for words!" by the Denver Post and described as "performing jigs on rocket fuel" by the LA Daily News. Millions of people across the globe have experienced their shows live or during performances on PBS, the BBC, and on the CBC in their native Canada.

Tickets for the all-new Barrage show "Animado" are $20 and a limited number remain for the Nov. 4 performance. They can be reserved online at www.uwp.edu keyword: tickets or by phone at 262-595-2307.
