UW-Parkside Summer Arts & Crafts Festival June 26
A start-of-summer tradition returns when the University of Wisconsin-Parkside hosts the 20th annual Summer Arts and Crafts Festival. More than 150 artisans and craftspeople offer one-of-a kind art and gift-quality crafts Saturday, June 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Those attending will discover antique artifacts turned into jewelry, beautiful baskets, fascinating photography, garden art, exquisite purses and bags, custom woodwork, candles, soaps, and much more.
"Once again this year, Bob Lace from Colleen's Tough Times in Neenah, will join us with 15 different flavors of gourmet vinegars and 5 kinds of mustards, including a mouth-watering raspberry honey mustard. Bob has participated in the festival since its inception," said festival organizer Jennie Filippone. "Candy Stein of Oak Creek has shown her beautiful floral arrangements at the Summer Arts & Crafts Festival for over 17 years. We invite everyone to come out and meet Bob, Candy, and all the other skilled artisans at this year's event."
The 20th Summer Arts & Crafts Festival also features live entertainment by UW-Parkside student and faculty musicians. All proceeds benefit the university's Music Scholarship Fund which supports the educational pursuits of Music Department students.Admission is free with abundant free parking. Please note: due to ongoing construction, all visitors must enter campus via Wood Road (30th Ave.) between Highways A and E.
