More than 30 UW-Parkside alumni and guests gathered to kick off the new year at the second in a series of monthly "Alumni After Hours" events in Kenosha on Jan. 5. The site was Pazzo restaurant in downtown Kenosha, where the ever-energized UW-Parkside mascot, Ranger Bear, helped keep things lively as alumni mingled, networked and enjoyed appetizers and refreshments.
The winner of a drawing for a Pazzo wine-and-gift-certificate basket was Lorrie Saylor, an alum and who serves as special events organizer for the Kenosha Public Museum.
The First Thursday series is sponsored by the UW-Parkside Alumni Association, which invites all area alumni to head for the Racine Marriott for the next "Alumni After Hours" event on Feb. 2. The networking event runs from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Marriott's 20 & Oakes Bar and Grill, located at 7111 Washington Avenue (at the intersection of Highway 20 and Oakes Road in Racine).
