Be part of Worldfest 2012! |
Worldfest 2012, UW-Parkside's celebration of our global connections, takes place March 26-30 at venues throughout the campus. Student Activities is currently in the process of planning this week of events and the ideas and suggestions of faculty, staff, and students are vital to making Worldfest an international success.
"We would love to receive input from faculty and staff if they'd like to participate in the week via a presentation or a performance," Tony Kwiatkowski, interim director of Student Activities told Ranger Today. "Also, if they know of any great international performers or speakers, we would love to entertain the thought of bringing them to campus."
Kwiatkowski said there are a number of ways you can get involved in Worldfest:
--Present a program--a discussion, sporting or musical event, cooking, arts & craft--on a topic you are passionate about;
--Provide us with the name of speakers or performers you feel would make Worldfest stand-out;
--Carry the flag of your country or carry another country's colors during our Opening Flag Ceremony Monday, March 26; and
--Attend the March 30 World Cuisine Dinner (tickets go on sale shortly and this event sells out every year).
If involvement in this year's Worldfest celebration appeals to you, call Student Activities at extension 2278.
