Mahone Fund seeks 2012 Living Legend nominees

The Mary Lou & Arthur F. Mahone Fund, a local philanthropic organization, wishes to acknowledge the humanitarian and multicultural leadership individuals and organizations have demonstrated to uplift the lives and improve the human condition for all Kenosha County residents. To that end, the Mahone Fund seeks nominations for the 2012 Mary Lou & Arthur F. Mahone Living Legend Award.

Individuals, groups of individuals, organizations, and corporations who have shown a commitment to humanitarianism and multiculturalism in Kenosha County are eligible for the award. Nominees must be residents of Kenosha County and must be involved in community, church, professional, or school activities that enhance diversity and inclusion. An emphasis on multicultural activities is encouraged.

Nomination forms must be returned by Friday, March 9, 2012.

The mission of the Mary Lou & Arthur F. Mahone Fund is to provide opportunities for economically and/or academically deserving youth and to support breast and cervical cancer initiatives for women who need financial support. To date, the fund has awarded 137 scholarships and has provided financial support to 180 women who needed treatment for breast and cervical cancer.
