Harpist Brenna Revis featured Saturday & Sunday.

You may not recognize the name Brenna Revis but you probably know her face. And on Saturday, Feb. 18, you can hear her music.

Brenna is one of several students identified as a "STANDOUT" on university recruitment materials. She has graced area billboards, the university web site, and numerous university publications. She was on the back cover of the special supplement that gave readers a glimpse of The Rita.

Now you can hear this university STANDOUT this weekend. Brenna plays harp in a campus performance of Benjamin Britten's "A Ceremony of Carols," opus 28 for treble voices and harp. She is joined by UW-Parkside Women's Choral Ensemble--a group comprised of current students and alumni--in making glorious music, all under the direction of Dr. James B. Kinchen Jr. In addition, several vocal soloists from our music program are featured singing various works.

The concert takes place in the acoustically perfect Frances Bedford Concert Hall of the Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for Arts & Humanities. As Dr. Kinchen said: "Come hear a standout student in an outstanding performance!"

Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for students.

The Women's Choral Ensemble also performs Sunday, Feb. 19, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church located at 1100 Erie St. in Racine. The concert begins at 4 p.m. Admission is free and donations are accepted to support future music programs at St. Patrick's Church.
