Thursday, Feb. 23, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside basketball teams play their final home games of the regular season. The Rangers' biggest conference rival Lewis University is the opponent with the women's game starting at 5:30 p.m. and the men taking the floor at 7:30 p.m. in the De Simone Gymnasium of the Sports and Activity Center.
During the evening, UW-Parkside seniors Kaitlyn Bettiga, Brittany Beyer, Jadee Rooney, and Amy Selk will be honored as they start their final regularly scheduled game. For the men, the careers of seniors Sam Katula and Leneal Harris will be celebrated.
The women's game is dedicated to breast cancer awareness. This week, the team is selling "Think Pink" T-shirts so you'll have something stylish to wear to the games! The cost is $12 and the shirts are being sold in the main office of the Sports and Activity Center (SAC L150) today and Thursday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and in the hallway of the SAC just outside of the gym before the game, while supplies last.
During the game, join in the 50-50 raffle. There'll also be an auction for some great Milwaukee Bucks tickets for the March 5 game against the Philadelphia 76ers. We have four tickets that normally sell for $200 EACH. Our auction starts with a minimum bid of $100 for the four tickets! What a deal! You could win four floor tickets plus access to the Courtside Club.
So, get your "Think Pink" T-shirt, come out to recognize our seniors and cheer them on to victory, and support the fight against breast cancer! GO RANGERS!
