Tell your students about “Rock the Vote”
Wednesday, Feb. 29, from 7 to 11 p.m., Parkside Student Government (PSG) hosts "Rock the Vote," a concert event in the Student Center Ballroom. During breaks between the bands Dropping Daisies, Thunder Driver, Will of Tomorrow, and Above Aurora, PSG candidates will speak about the positions they are running for and their platforms.
So far, Dave Wilson and Jordan Theiler are running for PSG president and vice president. Senate candidates are Annalee Sepanski, Lauren Bradshaw, Amanda Barber, Yuniwo Nfor, Christopher Dunn, and David Kirkeby. There is still time for students to sign up for elections.
Parkside Student Government is sponsoring this event to help our student voters make an informed decision, to make students more aware of their ownership in legislative representation, and in hopes of increasing voter turnout.
The event is open to the public, with free admission for students and a $5 charge for non-students.
