Kenesie GLVC Coach of the Year; 5 Players Honored

University of Wisconsin-Parkside women's basketball head coach Jenny Knight-Kenesie is the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Coach of the Year and five of her players were honored by the conference in awards announced Tuesday.
Knight-Kenesie received the Chuck Mallander Coach of the Year award after leading UW-Parkside to its second division championship and the most regular season wins in school history. Seniors Jadee Rooney and Brittany Beyer were unanimous selections for the All-GLVC First Team while senior Amy Selk was picked for the second team. Meanwhile, senior guard Kaitlyn Bettiga and junior guard Jaleesa Trussell were named to the first-ever GLVC All-Defensive Team.

The Rangers face Kentucky Wesleyan College Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the GLVC semifinals being held in Springfield, Illinois.
