5th International Photo Contest

The Parkside International Club and Student Activities invite all UW-Parkside students, faculty, and staff to give us their view of the world during the 5th annual International Photo Contest. Starting today, Wednesday, Feb. 1, and continuing through early March, camera buffs and people who happened to catch a great photo with their iphone can share their images with the worl­d.

The three contest categories are:

Places:Pictures that are scenic in nature; the image can be of buildings, landscapes, nature, and/or locations of historical significance;
Cultural Celebrations/Festivals:Imageshighlighting cultural celebrations of the country or state you are in; and
People: Pictures of a person or group of people as the main focus of the photo.

Entries are judged on artistic expression, creativity, originality, and the quality of the image. Digital photographs should be submitted at the highest resolution possible and high-quality scans of non-digital photographs are accepted. Images must be in a .jpeg, .jpg, or .gif format.

Please note: Photos that are digitally or otherwise enhanced or altered are not accepted. Minor adjustments including spotting, dodging, and burning; contrast and slight color adjustment or the digital equivalents, are accepted.

Copyright of the image remains the property of the photographer.

Photos are accepted through Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at 4 p.m. To enter, access the online ­entr­y form at on the UW-Parkside web site. Complete a separate form for each photo submitted. Winning photos will be posted on the web site within two weeks of the end of the contest.
