The Great Lakes Valley Conference Eastern Division champion UW-Parkside women's basketball team boards the bus for Springfield, Ill., today. Coach Jenny Kenesie and crew are determined to be carrying a conference title with them when they return to campus Sunday night.
If you can't make the 250 mile trek, you can listen to the game on your radio or at your computer. The Rangers can be heard on WRJN-AM 1400 and on the Internet at www.gatewaysportsweb.org with Brad Fischer providing the play-by-play description.
The Rangers play Kentucky Wesleyan College in the GLVC quarterfinals Thursday, March 1, at 2:30 p.m. UW-Parkside split a pair of games with the Panthers during the 2011-2012 season, losing a heartbreaker at home 68-67 in December and winning 83-69 at KWC earlier this month.
Should the Rangers win Thursday, their potential weekend games are:
GLVC Semifinals: Saturday, March 3, noon GLVC Championship Game: Sunday, March 4, 1 p.m. Again, all games are broadcast on NewsTalk 1400 WJRN and on Gateway Sports Web. GO RANGERS!
