AAH events keep grads coming together

The fact that UW-Parkside alumni continue to be drawn to the appeal of socializing and networking together was amply displayed on Thursday evening, March 1. Twenty-five of them gathered at Pazzo in downtown Kenosha for the fourth in the monthly series of Alumni After Hours events that the UW-Parkside Alumni Association has organized this winter.

There is a core of regular attendees who come to stay in touch with each other and share campus-related news, people like Kathy Barth of Kenosha, who co-owns Barth Storage with her husband, and Rick Kilps, Parkside's recently retired men's soccer coach. But there are always first-timers, too, who stop in for good conversation, warming appetizers and drinks, and the opportunity to meet other alums who share in the UW-Parkside story.

All alumni and friends are encouraged to join in the friendly fraternizing at the next scheduled Alumni After Hours gathering. Following a pattern of meeting at alternate sites in the community on the first Thursday evening of each month, the next Alumni After Hours gets underway at 5 p.m. on April 5 in 20 & Oakes Bar and Grill at the Racine Marriott, at the intersection of Highway 20 and Oakes Road. It'll be a time to celebrate spring and, as always, the evolution of UW-Parkside. Join  us!
