The UW-Parkside women's basketball team earned its third consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament securing an at-large bid. The selections were announced Sunday evening.

The Rangers (22-5) earned the number three seed in the Midwest Region and will open play on Friday in Ashland, Ohio. Their first opponent is no stranger as the Rangers will take on Indianapolis who was named the sixth seed. The two teams met twice this season with UW-Parkside pulling out two tight victories.

The winner of that game faces the winner of Ferris State (seeded second) and Drury (seeded seventh). Six of the eight teams in the regional come from the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

The time of the first round match will be announced today, Monday, March 5, at noon. Visit www.parksiderangers.com for complete details.
