Candidates for Dean of Students at UW-Parkside

The men and women the University of Wisconsin-Parkside is likely to entrust with  Dean of Students responsibilities are on campus Mar. 19-26. Two men and two women are being brought to campus as the possible successor to interim dean Cindy Graham.

The schedule is:  

• Mar. 19, 11-11:50 a.m.: Dr. LaRue Pierce, Associate Dean of Students, Vincennes University, Indiana;
• Mar. 21, 11-11:50 a.m.: Dr. Sarah Shumate, former Vice President for Student Services, St. Thomas University, Florida;   
• Mar. 23, 11-11:50 a.m.: Dr. Tammy McGuckin, Dean of Students and Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, University of West Florida  
• Mar. 26, 11-11:50 a.m.: Gary VanZinderen, Dean of Students, Jamestown College, North Dakota

Search and screen committee members ask everyone to attend the sessions to meet the candidates for a position they called "vital to our campus." Each open forum is held in the Galbraith Room of Wyllie Hall and is open to all interested parties.
