Wanted: Your time and talent for TnT Auction

The fourth annual Time and Talent (TnT) Auction for Scholarships is held in Main Place of Wyllie Hall May 1-2. But before there's an auction, there must be talented people (that's you or someone you know) willing to give of their time to help UW-Parkside students.

TnT Auction chair Heather Miles is asking you to let her know if you or someone you know has an item or service to donate.

"The auction is designed to 'think outside the box,'" Miles said. "It allows people who may be unable to give financially, an opportunity to support our students with the gift of their time and talent."

TnT was created to help fund UW-Parkside student scholarships and to showcase the talents and abilities of people on our campus and our community. Many people have hidden skills and abilities, talents that are not obvious to the naked eye. Since 2009, talented bakers, crafters, embroiderers, mechanics, and others willing to teach their techniques or donate some of their customized products have helped make this event possible. The TnT Auction has raised more than $5,000 for alumni-sponsored scholarships.

Bidding begins at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, in Main Place and concludes Wednesday, May 2. Online bidding begins Tuesday at 2 p.m. and closes Wednesday afternoon.

You can help by sharing or asking someone you know if they are willing to share a talent and the time with a successful bidder. Forward that information to Heather Miles at extension 2592 or at miles@uwp.edu by email.

And, as Heather said, "I'll do the rest. We are only limited by our imagination."
